As some of you may know already, I grew up in the Midwest in Racine, Wisconsin. Unable to stop time, I have now been living outside the land of the cheese heads for almost 32 years. No matter how long I have been gone, I still consider Racine my roots. My mother, sister, and brother still reside in the Midwest and give me good reasons to return to the homeland. It has been several years since the whole NC Jackle family had made the trek to Racine. So we all piled into the Odyssey and drove to Wisconsin to spend a week with my family over the July 4th week. I would like to thank the inventor of the car DVD player for his/her assistance in keeping the kids occupied during the long hours cooped up in the van. After a week long calendar of events artfully planned by the moms(Jackie, Sue(sister), Phyllis(mom)), Saturday morning became family photo day. My sister Sue has a great backyard just for this purpose.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.
My Mom and the girls hanging out at the fire pit. The weather was amazing so the pit remained fireless.
Dancing with Grandma!
Grandma with the grandkids: Savannah, Sophie, my nephew Ethan and niece Abi.
The grand girls!
Now for my sister’s family, the fun-loving Weishoffs.
