The Hilburn Hawk–The Raleigh bird and baby photographer

Red Tail Hawk Picture. It is couple of days after the Christmas holiday. School is out of session until after the new year.  We are snowed in at the house with two of us are working, and  two of us are watching “Toy Story.”  If you are a reader of this blog, you probably know that my oldest daughter attends a local elementary school called Hilburn Drive Elementary.  Even though there are not any official sports teams at the school, it does have an official mascot.  We are the Hilburn Hawks.  My friend here is perched in our neighbors tree that sits right on the Hilburn Drive as if he is keeping watch.  One thing I noticed is that I have not seen any squirrels near by.

Ever since I started shooting, I always enjoyed capturing my young children and the birds. A hawk was one of my favorites to capture.  In my family, I was known as the bird and baby photographer. These shots remind me on how much I enjoy these mother nature creatures.

I was about 30 feet or so from the hawk. Trying not to the let the crinkling snow scare the bird.ReplyCancel
